Sawing is the foundation of silversmithing. Join me in the studio for this one day metal smithing workshop to learn the basics of working with the jeweler's saw and create a cut out sterling silver pendant in a shape of your choosing.
Sunday, October 24th •• 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
Join me and saw yourself a silver pendant. The choice of shape is yours! You can make a heart, a crescent moon, butterfly, tear drop, you name it! Not sure what you'd like to make? I have templates available to choose from. Bring your Mom, your best friend or come and try a new skill on your own. This is a beginning level introduction to silversmithing and the basics of sawing metal with a jeweler's saw. No experience necessary. Come and join in the on the fun. Comes with your choice of a 16", 18" or 20" box chain.
Classes take place at Hot Shops Art Center in Downtown Omaha in studio 220.
All materials are provided. Preregistration is required.

For all classes minimum age requirement is 16. However, if you are under the age of 18 you will be required to have a parent to take the class with you.
Workshops are non-refundable.

What to Expect
In this one day workshop you will learn how to cut silver with the jewelry saw, file and finish metal. In this class you will create one sterling silver cut out pendant. Prior to class, think about some shapes that interest you. Remember when first starting out that simple is always better as you are learning a new skill.
Class will take place at Hot Shops Art Center located at 1301 Nicholas Street, Omaha, NE 68102. In studio 220 on the 2nd floor. There is parking available on 13th Street. Once parked, enter through the big red door with the sculpture above it, then take an immediate right and head up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Once on the 2nd floor head through the wood door and head to the far back left corner to studio 220.
